whobody decorated cookies?

So many great Christmas preparation pictures to share and so little time!

Here goes.... This has been a crazy couple of weeks...and I have gotten behind, so I will just hopefully get these out there before we go on vacation!

Last weekend we baked cookies with some great friends.  Molly & Jo (friends of mine who also happen to be Jason's cousins) invited us (and Andrea & her kids) to come over and bake cookies with them at their Mom's house.  We had SO MUCH FUN.

They already had the sugar cookies made, so the kids had a blast decorating them....
Check out the sugar/sprinkles on THIS one. (I think this was actually Vaughn's cookie....)

Molly & Jo's mom Jane was at the mixer, letting the kids take turns helping her make the peanut butter cookies...she was brave and had Nash crack some eggs....

as you can see, this was very serious business....

Lola had a great time...she liked mixing colors and was pretty careful about her work.

Keaton did a nice job...but blew through the cookies...trying to get as many done as possible.  He likes to complete tasks...and he saw this as a job he had to do. (Don't get me wrong, he had lots of fun...but he felt like he really had this important job that needed to get done...)

Lola loved her turn helping Jane.... lately she has really been trying to be helpful...always offering to lend a hand. I think she really likes to feel grown up!

and....a few of the finished products.  Would you believe that our decorating table was actually set up on carpet??? I don't even think that it got too bad.....

We tried to get a group picture of all of the kids...but it wasn't going to happen...so keaton was silly instead....

This is a little closer...but we were still missing 2 kids... :) They were way too busy playing legos....
We really had lots of fun. I have never really done the whole Christmas cookie baking thing with the kids before, but have always wanted to. (By the way...Cruz stayed home with dad for this one.....)
