whobody got very muddy hands?

So...we sent the kids outside early Saturday morning to pick up earthworms....(They were very wild and driving us bonkers....and it wasn't even 7 AM yet).  Nash came inside and said..."nashy wash hands...muddy!) ...I don't think the hands were his biggest problem....

I know..I know it is GROSS.

I just HAD to take a picture....

whobody had another great idea?

On Sunday (while keaton was 'doing his homework') we could hear Nash yelling in frustration from the slide.....

the problem? he couldn't get the bike to go down the slide... (yes, he and Keaton had the same issue last year... in this post)

He was really...really...frustrated!
Finally, he worked it out...and luckily...didn't manage to get on it before it went for a ride.

whobody is great at multitasking?

On Sunday...we told Keaton he needed to read his books for school....he grabbed his book and headed outside.  (I figured he was going to go sit at the patio table and read...).  A few minutes later, I peeked outside and saw this:

He was riding this Big Wheels around in a circle on the driveway...WHILE reading out loud. (For real....)

I just thought this was cute...and pretty creative!

whobody is a crab?

So...when Keaton was little...I bought the cutest shirt (at least I thought so)....The other day I put it on Cruz...and I remembered that I had pictures of the other 2 boys in the same shirt...so I thought I would put a little quiz and comparison out there.

I had compared pictures of all of this kids in an earlier post

Here are the babies in no particular order....
see if you can guess who is who?

Baby #1

Baby #2

Baby #3

okay....are you ready?
baby #1 is Cruz
baby #2 is Keaton
baby #3 is Nash

First of all...check out Cruz's muscles in his 2nd pic! Can you believe how much Keaton and Cruz look alike?  And can you believe how big Nash's cheeks are in the last picture???

These are the 2 that I think look the most alike.....
1st picture: CRUZ
2nd picture:KEATON
 too cute...

whobody went for a little walk?

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL for over a week now....
(and I have finally gotten my camera out again...) so lots of opportunities for blog posts! These pics are actually from early last week on one of the first days it was nice out.  In the summer our favorite family thing (well one of them) to do is go to a local drive in...pick up supper...and eat and go for a walk by the river.

We are so BLESSED to live in such a beautiful area!

The kids had a great time on the river walk!

...even Cruz had fun being outside!
(it really wasn't that cold....the blanket was propping up his bottle during our walk...)

I'm sure we will have many more of these nights to come (hopefully in shorts and tanks!)

whobody had BIG plans?

Earlier this week, I caught Nash in the middle of a 'great idea'....
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

(this is the back of our Yukon....)

He kept on saying "Mommy drive!"
Can you imagine?
He really thought I would do it too...

This kid had BIG plans!

After awhile he abandoned this project and drove off in his racecar.
He is LOVIN' the warm weather!

whobody is that?

Trying out the party favors from Keat's birthday....

I just couldn't resist! I think these are hilarious...
(however, Nash did not enjoy them and would not put them on for a picture).
UPDATE!!!
3 days later...Nash just puts the glasses on by himself while playing in his room...and comes out to show me how silly he is.  LUCKILY I had my camera sitting on the counter and I could catch this picture :) and add it to this post! Isn't he hilarious?

whobody had a 3 day 7th birthday?

Keaton had a 3 day birthday...lucky guy.  First, on Friday he had his friends over after school...then on Saturday (his actual birthday) he opened his gift from us (below) and had a fun day outside and went to a PARADE...and finally, on Sunday we had the family over for another birthday party!!!

one. happy. kid.
Keaton has been really excited about basketball lately, so we got a big basketball hoop for our driveway!  It is taking longer than expected to put it together, so we had to wrap up just the rim for the gift...hopefully the hoop will be usable sometime this week.....

The following are pics from our family birthday party last night. With the nice weather, we were able to have our FIRST outside birthday party ever. (kids birthdays are october, november, december and march....usually not suitable for outside eating).  We had a great night with family. The kids always love playing with their cousins.  We had a nice time visiting with Jason's family...and my sister (she was the representative for my side of the family :)  We had pizza and cupcakes and ice cream! The perfect meal....for Keaton, at least.

Our biggest problem was that I couldn't get the candles to stay lit...so, we lit one and he blew it out...and Keaton was fine with that anyway (he is pretty scared of fire....).

happy kid...

nash just couldn't handle sharing "Grandma Tractor" with Cruz...

"what mom? you can't possibly expect me to eat the cupcake WITHOUT getting this messy?"
(I'm really not quite sure how he got this messy...but he was pretty proud...and we might have to get new folding chairs....)

The kids all had LOTS of fun playing outside

and I would say that Cagney is the PERFECT size to drive this truck...
and Lola is the perfect size to ride in the back!

The kids were having so much fun playing in the yard...I sent Jason to take a picture...I didn't notice it at the time, but Nash is standing ON the table..... nice.

and, as always, the best part...opening presents....

He LOVED everything!

but he said his favorite present was the Cars Squinkies that Lola picked out for him (sweetie)

What a nice, big thank you hug....

He really had a great birthday!
I can't believe he is already SEVEN!!!

whobody went "green"?

Well...Saturday was St. Patrick's Day....and also Keaton's birthday.
We started our day with some green pancakes (with a candle for Keaton, of course)...

and some green milk...

....and Lola had some green orange juice (or green juice?)

...and here is a picture of Nash finishing his green orange juice....

It was a BEAUTIFUL day....I mean, beautiful!  We spent the day outside and then headed to the St. Patty's Day Parade to finish our wonderful day.

Here is a group picture of all 4 kids! (Nash got mad instantly after this picture because he thought he should be the one holding Cruz.)
and now for some parade pictures....

and, Cruz enjoying the parade...asleep on mommy. (I loved this...)

We really had a great day...enjoying the nice weather outside all afternoon, and loading up our candy supply at the parade.  This Spring weather has been beautiful...but it only means that we are that much closer to daddy being in the field and much more busy (and around a LOT less)...we are glad to get to spend these nice days with him before things get too busy around here.

(What am I going to do without him here???)
